I want to know why my recipient was charged when they clearly shouldn't have been. I don't care what other people have done. I explained the situation, and all I got were stories of what other people have tried to ship as media mail. I hung up and called back and asked for the Postmaster. I called back and was placed on hold again, this time for 30 minutes. I called to get this handled and was placed on hold for 15 minutes, at which time someone answered and disconnected the call. But they claimed it was not media and charged the recipient the balance of the postage. I'm not happy about that, but understand it. The package was opened (I assume for inspection). So, I had the recipient pick it up at the post office. The first attempt to deliver the package to the intended address failed due to no secure location to leave the box. My Postmaster was the one that boxed it and set the postage as Media Mail. I mailed 2 books from my post office to an address in Davenport.
